The brief

Tiara & Nathan were a young, well-traveled couple from Oklahoma City.

Tiara was looking for a romantic venue that could accommodate all her guests, and she fell in love with Villa Mangiacane when she visited Italy prior to her wedding. The villa is set among vineyards and olive trees, in a peaceful spot at the heart of the Chianti Classico wine-making region.

The couple welcomed their 60 guests at Locanda Machiavelli for a wine tasting in its historic cellars and a visit to the small museum in Machiavelli’s actual home. In the evening, the party continued under the stars with a sumptuous Tuscan BBQ, with magical views over the countryside, accompanied by a live jazz band.

The wedding ceremony and dinner were held at Villa Mangiacane itself. Tiara had a clear vision of what she was looking for in terms of décor and style: a Boho vibe and a simple but elegant green and white palette. She also wanted the wedding to be fun and entertaining.

We accomplished that by creating the seating for the ceremony using upholstered vintage sofas, three different styles of chairs, and organic, natural-looking flower arrangements. The banquet table was decorated with golden accents and a white-on-white palette, complemented by mismatched crystal chandeliers. We surprised the guests with a fire dancer who performed through the night, and with beautiful fireworks right after the cake cutting.
