Lena & Adam

Celebrity couple Adam and Lena’s love story is one for the books. 

They exchanged vows in May  at Castello di Celsa, a fabulous castle near Siena. Lena’s dream had always been to get married in Italy. She wanted an intimate, flawless, and magical wedding. 

The venue she chose is one of the most prominent castles in Italy, still owned by the same family after almost four hundred years. Everything is romantic about this fairy-tale location: the elaborate yet delicate architecture, the gardens and the views. 

While we hope for sunny weather, it’s not always the case. At Celsa, we had to make sure we had a contingency for a rainy day. We planned for a tented area that had to be carefully designed to meet the bride’s wish for a long dinner table built around a dance floor. The design included a grand entrance to the tented reception, creating an inviting carpeted entryway flanked by dozens of lanterns. The tent’s ceiling had overhead curtains accented with topiaries, crystal chandeliers and flowers.

Despite the overcast and occasional drizzle, the ceremony was held in the marvelous gardens in front of the castle to take full advantage of the natural splendor of the castle and the landscape around it. The ceremony was designed to feature the formal Italian gardens in front of the castle and was followed by a cocktail reception that we organized in the castle’s inner courtyard, which we had remodeled as a luxe lounge area with mirrors and elegant indoor furniture. 

A little shower didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits, and the soiree – which culminated in a surprise, formidable fireworks display – could have not been more successful!
