The brief

Chloe and Stuart, a couple from England, were not sure what type of setting to look for, the type of venue or even the region where they would want to tie the knot but they had absolutely clear in mind the type of wedding the desired: a backyard wedding.

What’s not to like about a backyard wedding? They are intimate, convenient and budget-
friendly. However, they did not simply looking for an overly casual affair that welcomes a rustic vibe only: they rented an elegant 19 th century villa on the hills of Lucca, a small and gorgeous city in Tuscany.

To balance the elegance of the villa and combine it with the rustic vibe was at times
challenging. To achieve a good result, we used a lot of greeneries and less flowers, we had very
nice wooden signs made with calligraphy that matched the seating cards and the menu.

We carefully chose a delicate palette based on neutral colors but with a little splash of dust blue that echoed the bridesmaides’ dresses.

For the table, we preferred to use nice linen rather than bare wooden tables to create a more elegant feeling and we opted for simple table garlands mostly made of eucalyptus and blue hydrangea.

The result was really neat. We had managed to create exactly the right atmosphere. Everyone
appreciated the relaxed vibe and the natural style of the wedding.
Hurray!
