The brief

Sam and Hannah came to our agency through Sam’s uncle, who was one of the first Weddings International clients in the late 90’s. Like Sam’s uncle, they opted for Florence as their wedding destination. Young and active, they wanted a chic and romantic wedding in a secluded enough venue but with access to all a city’s attractions. They also were hoping to keep all guests together in the same villa or hotel.

Hotel Villa Agape, located two-mile drive up the hills from Florence city center, fit perfectly the requirements. The hotel, a Renaissance villa surrounded by perfectly tended gardens offered the best private environment for an outdoor ceremony and reception.

They welcomed their guests at the restaurant La Loggia, on Piazzale Michelangelo, the lookout point above the historic city center. Cocktails to mingle and a seated dinner on the terrace made them feel right into the Dolce Vita vibes that restaurant La Loggia exudes.

For the wedding Hannah had an exact vision of the banquet tables with very romantic and rich floral arrangements primarily made of pink and white peonies. Peonies, with their delicate hues and lush shape, are the quintessential wedding flower. Despite the fact that their buds are in season for a relatively short period of time in the spring, our fabulous florist was able to source them and create romantic decorations for Sam and Hanna’s late-July wedding. We organized the dinner in a walled garden, that was romantically lit by crystal chandeliers.
