The brief

Carolina and Navneet decided to have their families and friends reunited for their wedding in Tuscany, among the most beautiful areas in the countryside between Florence and Siena.

For their wedding they settled on Villa Stomennano, a very atmospheric historic villa they loved for its countryside setting with geese roaming the typical Italian-style gardens embellished with statues and ponds.

They mainly loved the unobstructed views from its gardens as backdrop for their ceremony and the small wood behind the villa where to stage a very romantic dinner under the trees.

This venue was also able to accommodate almost half of their guests for three days, that was ideal.

Being born and raised in England, the couple opted for a traditional western wedding and they chose to have a lovely blessing ceremony but they did not forget to incorporate a few details that could honor part of their families’ culture. The bride had henna done before the wedding which was still visible on the day.

The wedding was a countryside wedding with Indian ‘twists’ including Indian caterers, Indian sweets as favors, a sitar player and a bhangra section during the dancing and everybody loved the Indian bits together with disco songs as nearly everybody was on the dance floor, getting involved in the dance-offs. The result was beyond their expectations. For them it was lovely to pick and choose aspects from both cultures and they loved integrating Indian themes into their wedding.
